Maanya is a second-year Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior student on the pre-med track at UC Davis. She is interested in how people make decisions and how AI is starting to shape the advice and information they rely on, especially in health and everyday life. In the lab, she works on questions about how AI advice and persuasion influence people’s choices. Outside of research, Maanya volunteers at the Paul Hom Asian Clinic and serves as publicity coordinator for the NPB Club. She hopes to carry what she learns about AI ethics into a future career in medicine.
