Bio

I am a Cell Biology major with minors in Philosophy and Medical Humanities, pursuing a career in medicine rooted in a deep concern for human wellbeing. My interest in artificial intelligence and ethics stems from the same question that drew me into medicine in the first place: how do we care for humans beyond the biology in a text book? Through the Ai Ethics lab I am exploring an understanding of human wellbeing in our contemporary-pixel driven time to hopefully further my interests in how Ai affects clinical judgments, patient autonomy, and the meaning of healthcare itself in the medical environment. I also work in a Small Cell Lung Cancer research lab which sharply contrasts the work in ethics but still parallels the goals of human wellbeing. One of my biggest academic and personal goals is ensuring that the rising use of AI in healthcare supports empathy and contributes to a healthcare system that values the good life alongside good clinical outcomes.
